Our Mission:
PS 199 is committed to fostering a lifelong love of learning and to support students in becoming their best selves both academically and personally. We want to empower children to understand, respect, and appreciate the diversity in our community and the world. We work hard to sustain a strong community of pedagogues, administr-ators and parents that collaborate to create a safe, joyful, and productive learning environment.
Our Programs
We believe that a quality educa-tion includes an evolving curricu-lum that is supported by diverse programming. PS 199 has part-nered with several organi-zations to enhance our core curriculum. Our dedicated staff plan educa-tional units with teaching artists to weave the arts and sciences into our lessons.
